Death Star II Sections
When George Lucas commissioned the Death Star II model in 1981 he wanted it to have scale.

Industrial Light & Magic model makers achieved that scale by creating a detailed six-foot diameter model.

They layered intricate sections of acid-etched brass, representing iron columns and girders, in the open areas of the model. This gave the Death Star an under-construction look.
The brass sections mounted on our cardbacks were salvaged from the ILM model shop nearly forty years ago.

Today, the six-foot diameter Death Star II model is housed in the Lucasfilm Archives at Skywalker Ranch, Marin County, California.
Jabba’s Sail Barge Fabric
This section of screen-used canvas was part of the red sail that topped Jabba's iconic sail barge, the Khetanna. It was recovered from Imperial Sand Dunes after filming was completed in 1982.
